My name is Ted Perotti, I grew up in East Canaan CT across from the Beckley Furnace, a hot blast Furnace that made pig iron out of Salisbury iron ore to create train car wheels.

I am a freelance filmmaker who started Pig Iron Films in 2020 after graduating college. I’ve worked various jobs on commercial, corporate, indie, and documentary film sets. I started off in the camera department working for filmmaker Steve Liss and moved into doing more sound and grip work for Copperhound Pictures and other production companies.

After moving back to Canaan CT, I still occasionally work as a grip, DP, or sound mixer on short films, docs, and corporate videos. I started Pig Iron Films to create videos for local non-profits and businesses. Typically I work as the director and editor on the projects I produce and hire a small crew to assist with capturing the project’s vision.

Max Vadakin is a friend and colleague also based in North Canaan CT. His main trade is photography, but he is an important part of any video project we do. His roles include camera operator, colorist, gaffer/grip, writer and co-producer.

Brian Wilcox is an incredible drone pilot and photographer from Sharon CT. Brian is one of the go to drone operators for any video shot locally.

Eli Hill is also a great drone pilot and a DP on many Pig Iron Films projects. He has a great eye and contributes greatly to the look of our projects.
